Capalex is an aluminium extrusion manufacturer and machining company with all extrusion, heat treatment, machining, powder coating, and assembly facilities at a single site in Cumbria, United Kingdom. We provide a greater range of alloys and have greater flexibility on profile design, tolerances, quantities and lead times than almost any other extruder. Our services are particularly helpful to customers developing new products and for industries where flexible quantities, tight tolerances and responsive, quick delivery are paramount. Our lead times are some of the very best in the industry, we frequently turn orders for new profiles into shipped material within two weeks from confirmed order. Our customers range from very small engineering companies and start-ups to some of the biggest multi-nationals, spanning every market sector including Architectural, Automotive, Defence, Display, Electronics, Engineering, Furniture, Leisure, Marine, Product Design, Retail, Rail & Signage. We have AS9100D & ISO 9001:2015 approvals and supply to the aviation and aerospace industry. We are able to work to tight tolerances, and produce very lightweight and thin profiles down to 0.02kg/m and 0.5mm thickness. Alloys available for extrusion: 1050A, 1200, 2014, 2014A, 2024, 3003, 5083, 6005A, 6060, 6061, 6063, 6063A, 6082, 6463 7020, 7050 and 7075. Machining capability: Ten precision CNC vertical machining centres, 4-axis capability, longbed profiling centre, CNC lathe, precision saws and punching facility. We are always happy to machine any aluminium material whether it is extruded, plate or bar.
