Advanced Music projects share a focus on cultural experience, cutting edge arts and technological innovation. The core of Advanced Music's portfolio is Sónar Festival, a three day event taking place annually in Barcelona since 1994. A pioneering urban festival, Sónar brings together 125,000+ festival goers across two venues and 9 stages every summer, with associated cultural and trade activities taking place simultaneously throughout the city. As one of the first festivals in Europe to focus on electronic music, Sónar enjoys a high profile within the industry, acting as a strong professional hub during and around the festival. Sonar Festival has expanded internationally, with events held in 65 cities around the world to date. At present, annual festivals take place in Istanbul, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Mexico City and Athens. Sónar+D, the congress of creativity, technology and business, was launched in 2013, and runs concurrently to the Barcelona festival as well as other events throughout the year.
