Vantage Ventures is forging a new path of economic growth through the commercialization of university technology, attraction and retention of startup companies, and the creation of a seamless interface that allows engagement from corporate partners and investors. Vantage Ventures is thoughtfully attracting and helping start companies within four main market sectors: health, security, energy, and sensors. Resident companies are supported by Vantage through the building of pipelines into mentors, executives, and funding networks. The Vantage Point, home to Vantage Ventures provides 8,000 square feet of co-working and office space, intentionally designed to promote collaborative thought and entrepreneurial engagement. The mix of open concept space, dedicated office's and innovation labs provides an area for idea creation, product development, entrepreneurial inspiration, and business expansion. Resident companies ranging in fields from defense contracting, to medical devices each bring a unique set of experiences that when commonly shared, help foster thought and advancement for all participants. Vantage Ventures is fueled by The John Chambers College of Business and Economics, and provides the completing piece to WVU's entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem. Vantage engages with students, researchers and community members who are ready to fully launch their business into the market place. Synchronously, the Vantage Point provides a common space for entrepreneurs at varying levels in their journey to gather and learn from some of the world's most impactful entrepreneurs through tailored events that will inspire our community. Vantage Ventures also aims to attract companies external to West Virginia and provide them with the necessary resources to scale to success.
