AboutAbout Developer of ultra low emission gas, bio-gas and hydrogen engines. As the founder of OakTec and the inventor of the Pulse-R multi-gas engine technology, I have been active in leading-edge low carbon power system innovation for 20 years, having led ground breaking projects in clean engine technology, hybrid vehicle energy recovery and alternative fuels including bio-gas and more recently hydrogen. At OakTec I am privileged to work with a team of supremely talented engineers, innovators and problem solvers in a creative environment where things happen quickly and to great effect. My ambition is to see our CAGE (Clean Air Gas Engine) technology adopted globally as a clean, highly efficient power provider for micro electricity generating, agricultural and industrial equipment and small vehicles, and to displace current polluting old tech diesel engines in these applications. I have a particular desire to see CAGE make a difference in developing economies and off-grid communities by providing wide scale clean, low cost power. CAGE 6BM is a world first small intelligent bio-gas engine to power generators that are being demonstrated in off grid rural communities in Kenya using bio-gas produced from agricultural waste. CAGE 6PG is an ultra low NOx emission bioLPG engines for power generation in the construction sector and these new engines have been on site for trials since November 2020 with the HS2 rail project. CAGE Zero is our new hydrogen engine technology that has been tested in a small vehicle and in generators. These engines produce no emissions other than water vapour and are to be trialled on Orkney in early 2022. CAGE engines can be integrated in solar-wind-battery hybrid systems to provide power to off grid buildings and communities.
