The Atamate Building Operating system atBOS is a control platform designed to automate residential and commercial buildings. Atamate's goal is to reduce energy, maintenance and management costs in buildings while improving the occupants' security and comfort. Using wireless Bluetooth technology, Atamate can be installed simply and without specialist contractors in new and existing buildings. The company brings together 4 core disciplines; construction, building physics, software development and electrical engineering. This deeper knowledge of buildings differentiates us from many pure technology companies. Atamate is based in Oxford, UK. Atamate is designed to be installed in any building. This has meant constantly looking for ways to reduce costs to ensure that it is appropriate for both residential accommodation, office blocks as well as luxury housing developments. Atamate is holistic. It provides controls for all systems in a building, bringing them together onto a single platform. This means one device can be used for multiple different applications, for example a CO2 sensor might be used for ventilation control, occupancy control and to identify intruders. Atamate is simple. It is simple to install, use and maintain. Atamate is flexible, allowing alternative user interfaces (UI) for different user groups, these may be physical devices like switches or web based controls. By collecting and sharing information from the building, Atamate makes it is easy to maintain buildings. Atamate is cost effective. Reducing energy means reducing operating costs. Atamate collects a large amount of data from each property. This data is used to reduce maintenance costs by constantly reporting on each device. This moves most facilities management tasks to pre-emptive as opposed to reactive, further reducing costs.
