MATCH

MATCH is a startup created in 2019 by a group of students from Polytechnic of Turin and Polytechnic of Milan from Alta Scuola Politecnica, inside the program School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation held by Fondazione Agnelli. MATCH is a smart bin, which is able to recognize trash using AI and sort it into the right bin automatically. The problem of waste management is a serious issue for everybody, and our purpose was to use our skills and knowledge to develop something that could be able to improve the recycling process starting from what we do every day: throwing trash away. Furthermore, MATCH is able to monitor the level of trash inside each bin, and to communicate it through is App. We consider data collection very important, because letting people know exactly how much trash they are producing, we can make people more aware and responsible for this big worldwide problem.
