The Andalusian Historical Heritage Institute (IAPH) is the scientific body of the Andalusian Ministry of Culture that has been working on the cultural heritage since 1989. This public agency is a centre that comprises all the cultural heritage disciplines: historical heritage research, documentation, cultural assets preservation, historical heritage restoration, spreading and training in heritage, among others. Its official registration as an agent of the Andalusian System of Knowledge, under the Research Centre section, acknowledges the IAPH essential role in the scientific production and transfer of knowledge for the Andalusian productive sector and for the society as a whole. The IAPH is in the national and international social networks because of its work on theory progress, technological innovation, and its commitment with emerging heritages, such as cultural landscapes, industrial heritage, contemporary heritage and subaquatic archaeology.
