Sumitomo Corporation Equity Asia Limited ("SCEA") is the Asian private equity arm of Sumitomo Corporation ("Sumitomo"), one of the biggest multinational conglomerates in Japan (http://www.sumitomocorp.co.jp/english/). The entire Sumitomo Corporation Group consists of over 800 subsidiaries and associated companies and more than 65,000 employees around the world. SCEA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo. Since our inception in October 2002, we have been proactively participating in various venture capital and private equity investments in the Greater China and South-East Asian regions (excluding Japan), one of the most dynamic and the fastest growing areas in the world economy. We target fast growing companies in the small to middle market capitalization segment, from early to expansion stage, in both the emerging high-technology and traditional industries. Our targets are those with leading potential in the respective sectors. We help the growth and expansion of our investee companies by leveraging Sumitomo group's extensive global business and distribution network which covers most industry sectors around the world.
