The future of violin playing: DOLFINOS'​ complete solution replaces today's chin and shoulder rests for violins and violas with one single device. The patented technology and design stimulate a healthier posture, enable more effortless playing and let the violin vibrate freely. Collaboration of all experts: Luthiers, violin professors, musicians, dermatologists, physiologists, engineers, acoustic experts and designers collaborated intensively to develop the optimal product design. Verification of our design: Studies by the ETH Physiology Lab, EMPA and Zurich University of the Arts successfully validated the safety, effectiveness and usability of the All-in-One Violin Rest System. Ergonomics as a success factor: Optimized leverages lead to more effortless shifting and to more free playing dynamics. Less neck muscle activity is required to control the instrument and thus skin irritation can evidently be reduced. The radically reduced need to press on the chin rest helps preventing neural problems in the neck and tendinitis of shoulders and arms.
