Mount Olive College

The college is a direct response to requests and desire for continuity for top quality secondary education and all round development of pupils who have been part of Mount Olive School Onitsha (Nursery and Primary) since inception in 2000. Mount Olive College (MOC) is a private co-educational Christian school in Umunya, Anambra State, South-East Nigeria for children aged 11 to 18years. Our vision is to provide world class education which focuses on developing the total child and prepares him/her for university education and life after that. It is our goal that students will acquire skills, competence and qualifications that would enable them thrive and survive and be the best they can be in a competitive and technologically driven world. A world in which they will be proud Nigerians, who express their God given rich heritage locally and internationally. Mount Olive College is located in a picturesque Nigerian village. The safe haven of Mount Olive College affords the children the serenity of a traditional rural setting, though the campus breathes and speaks modernity. It is tucked away nicely between two major cities in Anambra State – the commercial city of Onitsha and Awka, the state capital. The college is away from the hustle and bustle of city life which makes it conducive for learning. Mount Olive College ensures that the needs of the individual are identified and strengths are fully developed. We strive for achievement through being effective in education service delivery. Many factors make this possible, such as low class sizes and excellent tutorial and pastoral systems. We believe that a student-centred view is the only valid approach – schools are not production lines, because students are not machines. We ensure that all students move on to adulthood as happy, successful people who are true to themselves.
