The brainchild of the Late Udaychand Singhi, Bharat Mines and Minerals, was incorporated to supply Iron Ore to MMTC. In 1998, his son, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Singhi steered the company to unparalleled growth by being the first mining company, establishing a power generation plant for captive use, and creating a steel plant from the captive ore mine.
