When Virginia Draper opened the Draper's Studio of Modes in 1927 – she had a dream-to sell "smart things to wear"​ along with the very best service. Little did she know that her dream would become a multi-channel specialty retailer that would still be relevant more than 90 years later! Draper's and Damon's joined the Bluestem Brands family in 2015. Bluestem Brands is the parent company to seven eCommerce retail brands. We are as strong and determined and adaptive as the prairie grass for which we're named. Whether it's through our diversity of brands, our unique business model or our company culture, we are forging our own path. By continually innovating and improving, we achieve roughly $2 billion in annual sales, yet we still have our sights set extremely high. Our mission? To build a dynamic retail enterprise that wins with direct-to-customer excellence and entrepreneurial-minded employees focused on serving our customers' unique needs.
