Village of Wilmette

The Village of Wilmette is a full-service home rule unit of municipal government, providing police, fire protection, EMS, public works, sewer and water service for over 28,000 residents. The Village of Wilmette also operates an enterprise fund wholesale water service to other municipalities and serving 150,000 consumers in Wilmette, Glenview and Prospect Heights, Illinois. Wilmette's has a FY 2022 total operational budget of over $105 million, employing 200+ FTE. Wilmette is located along the North Shore of Lake Michigan, approximately 16 miles north of downtown Chicago.
