Livingstone Christian College

Livingstone Christian College is a coeducational school strategically located half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The College has 1 100 enrolments from Prep to Year 12 as well as an additional 100 children in the Early Learning Centre. The College has a unique and strong emphasis on the development of the whole child. These emphasis is embedded from the Early Learning Centre through to the Senior School where real life opportunities are provided through the Trade Training Centre and university preparation courses to ensure students are ready to succeed in life beyond school. With a vision to ensure that every child flourishes, the College places an emphasis on four broad areas to ensure any child can flourish, regardless of their unique strengths. These emphases are on academic achievement, sporting development with a focus on select key sports, the performing arts and community (which includes trade training, preparing students for the Asia century and responsible citizenship). Within these four broad areas, College staff believe that every child can experience success and grow in confidence. At Livingstone Christian College's core is ‘A Big Year' virtues program which has a monthly cross-College emphasis on one of the big themes of Jesus; be that loving our neighbours, being generous, practicing hospitality, being faithful, loving our enemies, practicing forgiveness, serving the poor or reforming ourselves (rather than others). This program aims to ensure student's character is developed in preparation to be active and responsible citizens in a changing world. To achieve these ends, Livingstone Christian College has assembled an excellent team who are committed to personal development. Consequently, there is a strong commitment to professional development and performance management processes to ensure all staff are working together to ensure that every child flourishes at Livingstone Christian College.
