Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board

This is the official page of GIDB (Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board). The GID (Gujarat Infrastructure Development) Act was enacted in 1999 which gives legal framework and roadmap for promoting Public Private Partnership (PPP) in infrastructure sector. GIDB facilitates the development of infrastructure through private investment in the state. Gujarat Special Investment Region (SIR) Act, 2009 was enacted for development of large sized Special Investment Regions with world class infrastructure and premier civic amenities. GIDB is the apex authority for approval of Town Planning Schemes under the SIR Act. Key activities of GIDB: • Nodal agency for Gati Shakti Gujarat Integrated Master Plan • Monitoring High Impact Projects for timely implementation in Gujarat • Convener for Island Development Authority • Nodal agency for Gujarat Integrated Logistics & Logistics Parks Policy 2021 • Planning of initiatives and projects under the State PPP Cell as per the requirement of DEA, Ministry of Finance • Coordinating body for development of projects taken up under the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) • Apex authority under SIR Act for Town & Regional Planning of > Dholera SIR > Dahej SIR > Mandal Becharaji SIR
