VISIT DENVER is governed by a board of directors, employs a staff of nearly 50 professionals and counts nearly 1,300 businesses as members. It's funded from both private and public sources, including 2.75 percent of the lodger's tax in the City and County of Denver. In 2019, Denver broke tourism records with 17.7 million overnight visitors and 31.4 million total visitors, according to Longwoods International. The study, commissioned by VISIT DENVER, found that metro Denver visitors spent $7 billion, while supporting 64,000 jobs. Denver sets itself apart.
