Lying between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton on the south coast, Fareham, home to Fareham Borough Council, is a prosperous, safe and attractive place to live and work. We are a dynamic, progressive and forward-thinking council and put our customers, our residents, at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to provide exceptional customer service and our employees are vital in helping us achieve this. Over the past few years we have looked at all of our systems and practices through the eyes of our customers. By listening to them, and understanding their needs, we have completely transformed the way we work. The end result is improved customer service and, importantly, higher levels of job satisfaction for our employees. We have delivered some major projects in recent years, some of which have been life-changing for our customers, and are proud of these achievements and the staff that have helped to deliver them. These include but are not limited to: • Proud owners of Daedalus which incorporates Solent Airport, Faraday and Swordfish Business Parks • A brand new leisure centre • Two new quality sheltered housing schemes • A new Passivhaus (sustainable) housing scheme • Achieving ‘Garden Village' status for Welborne, a new community set to be built to the north of Fareham However, our core philosophy is to work on the basics, ensuring that all the little things that happen across all of our services as a matter of course are carried out to the best of our ability.
