The Shire of Exmouth acknowledges the Traditional Custodians, the Baiyungu Thalanyji, and Yinikurtura people, on whose land we are living, and pay our respects to Elders, past, present and emerging. The Shire of Exmouth is a local government area in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia, about 1,270 kilometres north of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 6,261 square kilometres, and its seat of government is the town of Exmouth. Governed by a Council consisting of six elected members, the Shire manages facilities such as the Learmonth Airport & Heliport, Recreational Facilities, the Exmouth Library and the Ningaloo Centre, including the Ningaloo Visitor Centre. It also delivers services such as planning and building approvals, environmental health inspections, events management, ranger and fire services, youth, aged and other community services, waste management, road construction and maintenance, parks and gardens maintenance and much more.
