Contemporary Portrait Painting by Nadine Robbins Because I am sensitive, analytical, observant, and creative, I am uniquely poised to present the truth to the world. I am level-headed and my common sense runs through my veins, and I paint to create images of people and to present truth as I see. Although i have a sense of humor, can be provocative, bold and authentic, I am equally shy and venerable. I find it easier to remain behind the canvas by myself. Therefore, I paint people from concepts I develop through photography and the occasional use of props. I take my time. I do it right the first time. I have fun and let my enthusiasm about people capture the moment they let their guard down and a natural reality comes out. My reality is that I once i paint a portrait, I want it to make a lasting impression about my client without them having to say a word other than "Wow!"
