MIDOR Electricity (MidElec) is an S.A.E. company incorporated in 1998 according to the Investment law 8/1997 as a general free zone company. Midelec owns a gas turbine power plant composes of three identical simple cycle gas turbine generator unit, type Siemens V64.3. The ISO capacity of each unit is 61.172MW with 193.5 MW installed power, Midelec GTPP located in Amreya freezone, Alexandria, Egypt. Over the past 16 years Midelec supplied uninterrupted power to 3 oil refineries with extremely sensitive loads, as our main clients are MIDOR oil Refinery, AL Amerya oil Refinery, Alexandria oil Refinery and others. Midelec owns as well a transmission network contains over 25km of high voltage circuits in addition to OPGW/FOC to communicate with the regional control center (ARCC). Midelec technical management have background and experience in several mega projects such as: Middle East oil refinery (Midor), Middle East oil tanks & pipelines (Midtap), several hospitality projects inside Egypt & abroad. Midelec established sustainable connections with the key – suppliers and contractors in the power field supported by long-practice of dealing with the Egyptian governmental authorities.
