Borås Bil Personbilar AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Borås Bil Group with facilities in Borås, Kinna, Tranemo and Ulricehamn. The company holds the agency for Volvo, Renault, Dacia, Peugeot, Citroën and Maxus in Sjuhäradsbygden. The company has approximately 280 employees. The turnover in 2020 amounted to approximately SEK 1.3 billion. The company was founded in 1936 under the name Borås Automobilförsäljning by Oskar Andersson. In 1949 the name was changed to AB Borås Bil & Traktor. Since the turn of the year 1999/2000, the company has been called Borås Bil Personbilar AB. Sales and service of Volvo trucks and buses are handled by the sister company Borås Bil Lastvagnar AB. Since the beginning, the company has been privately owned with the same family as owner.
