The Backbone

The Backbone is an IT service provider with a focus on development, implementation and delivery of state-of-the-art monitoring solutions based on Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). Our services include SCOM consultancy, SCOM projects and the next-generation cloud enterprise monitoring solution StateView based on hosted SCOM. Organizations are struggling with the growing complexity of the IT environment, which results in reduced control and lack of insight in business processes, applications and the IT infrastructure. To solve these problems, SCOM can be used as a monitoring platform. SCOM is capable of monitoring the availability, configuration and performance of network devices, hardware, virtualization solutions, operating systems and LoB applications. Implementing SCOM isn't a "next, next, finish…" scenario. Knowledge of SCOM itself and the components to be monitored is mandatory. Even more, today's reality with hybrid cloud environments demands for the application of chain monitoring and end-to-end monitoring for cloud services. Also, implementing SCOM demands an alignment to embed SCOM in IT management processes. The Backbone enables organizations to increase control over the IT environment and business processes using SCOM as a platform for high-level IT services dashboards, trend reports for capacity planning and instant alerting on the state of the 24x7 availability.
