Green Spot Technologies (GST) is an innovative start-up company, producing upcycled and fermented ingredients to enable food manufacturers to appeal to modern consumers. The company was originally set up in New Zealand following Dr Ninna Granucci's Phd. The company moved to France in 2018 after a successful fundraising round, with France and the European Union offering the ideal conditions for its development. Currently, the team consists of more than 19 people, with backgrounds ranging from microbiology, biochemistry and food science to process engineering and business development. Green Spot has a 2,000 m2 industrial demon in Carpentras, a formulation kitchen and a biotech lab in Toulouse. The company works closely with French, European and international research bodies, manufacturers, side stream suppliers, analysis laboratories and public partners in the Occitanie and Provence regions. The company has won numerous awards, both in New Zealand and Europe, underlining the uniqueness of its technology and products. Green Spot's ambition is to become a major industrial player in the agri-food value chain.
