On 12 April 2016, Ncell Axiata became part of Axiata Group Berhad, one of Asia's leading telecommunications groups with a strong presence all across the region, serving 150 million customers with its vision to be the New Generation Champion by 2022. The company converted into a public limited company and also changed its name to ‘Ncell Axiata Limited' on 3 August 2020.
