COMBUS Pty Ltd is a new consulting firm specialising in helping insurance companies quantify and manage their large scale risk to natural and man-made disasters, such as cyclones (hurricanes/typhoons), earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, hail, fire and terrorism. The primary regions of operation are Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Our clients consist of insurers, reinsurers, corporations, government agencies, catastrophe modelling firms, reinsurance brokers and consultants. Catastrophe models, once secretive and thought of as "Black Boxes", are now becoming more transparent and the complex components are being revealed by vendors to the potential users.
