Based in North London, Autograph is a blend of award-winning innovators, designers, creators and engineers, dedicated to developing and supplying high specification audio solutions to every branch of the entertainment and events industry since 1973. Their collective backgrounds in sound encompass the Royal Opera House, the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Exchange Manchester, the Royal Court Theatre as well as several regional theatre companies. In spite of this predominantly ‘royal' connection, they are all surprisingly grounded people who share a sense of professional curiosity and a serious wish to do things properly, whatever it takes. They take their responsibilities to the audience very seriously. The company's rigid culture of critical systems backup and swift reactions to emergencies is a reflex that is deeply rooted in all of them. Theatre is in their blood, so it's not surprising that this is the area of operations on which they concentrate. As one of the oldest companies specialising in this field, they have acquired a lot more experience than most; with an ear for detail and a flair for showmanship, their natural theatrical instincts are never far beneath the surface.
