HFM U.S. was part of Lagardère's media division Lagardère Active, a producer of media in over 40 countries around the world. Lagardère's global assets include magazines, web sites, mobile content, television and radio broadcasting and cable television channels, books, distribution services and broadcasting and marketing rights for world class sporting events. Hearst Magazines acquired Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. magazines along with most of Hachette Filipacchi's international magazines in May 2011.
