ENGIE STOMO is responsible for producing approximately 50% of Oman's electricity and desalinated drinking water. It delivers these essentials by operating and maintaining 6 power plants and 2 desalination plants. These plants are the Barka II Power and Desalination Plant, Barka III Combined Cycle Power Plant, Al Rusail Power Plant, Manah Power Plant, Sohar I Power and Desalination Plant and Sohar II Combined Cycle Power Plant. ENGIE STOMO has 2 shareholders; 70% shareholding is with - ENGIE, who is the world's 3rd largest power generator and the leading power generator in the Middle East, South Central Asia and Turkey region. STOMO's 30% shareholding is with SOGEX Oman.
