Oak Grove School District

Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of about 9,700 from grades TK-8. There are 14 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools. Four out of nineteen schools receive Title I funds. The size of the school ranges from the highest (843) student enrollment to the lowest (346) student enrollment. About 19% of the district's students are white (not Hispanic), 49% are Hispanic, 24% are Asian or Pacific Islander, 4% are African American while 6% are in other categories including biracial. The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 60 languages spoken in the district. Forty four percent of the students qualify for the free and reduced-price school lunch. Ten percent of the students receive special education services. The district is located in the southeastern corner of San Jose, California bounded by Capitol Expressway to the north, Canoas Creek to the west, Bernal Road to the south and the foothills to the east.
