Microgreens are easy to grow young plants with fast turnaround time, that pack intense aroma and concentrated nutrient content. They come in variety of colors and textures. They are essentially baby plants that are older than sprouts, but they shouldn't be confused with baby greens. As mentioned above, microgreens are packed with nutrients. Their nutrient content is concentrated compared to fully fledged plants, which means they contain higher vitamin and minerals, and while the amount of these contents is varied, most varieties tend to be rich in potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and copper. They are also a great source of beneficial plant compounds like antioxidants. Some studies revealed microgreens contain up to 40 times higher minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants than those recorded with mature plants. Microgreens are superfood that are accessible and easy to introduce into your diet, and we at Tee Greens believe that they are the future of farming.
