Our fair trade green tea is grown, harvested and processed sustainably and with minimal impact to the environment and local communities. Additionally, our green tea is organically grown and free of pesticides. We also use simple and recyclable packaging to help minimize waste. The tea fields are located at an elevation of 5000 feet above sea level in a region that is known in the world of tea for its optimal tea growing conditions: a mild climate, uniquely rich fertile soil and frequent misty precipitation. Our green tea leaves are selected by tea experts and individually picked by hand to produce high quality green tea powder. In fact, we utilize the same traditional techniques and industry-leading quality controls developed by Japanese matcha producers. We also work with premium and ceremonial grade Japanese matcha producers on a seasonal basis for exclusive and limited-production wholesale distribution.
