In 2014 Value Retail China, an affiliate of Value Retail, opened the first of the Villages in China, Suzhou Village, spectacularly located on the western shore of Yangcheng Lake Peninsula, in historic Suzhou. In 2016 Shanghai Village opened, located adjacent to Shanghai Disney Resort at the heart of the Shanghai International Resort (SHIR). The Collection, since its beginning with Bicester Village in 1995, has delivered double digit growth in gross sales each year and in 2017 welcomed almost 40 million guests.
