Home of the Underground Corrosion 2023 Short Course (Formerly Purdue Short Courses) Feb 27 – Mar 1, 2023 Fort Wayne Convention Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana ADVANCE REGISTRATION is now open! The Underground Corrosion Short Course (UCSC) at Purdue was started in 1961 as a course to help advance the training of the corrosion industry. The course has been put on annually each year, since, and has slowly grown to over 500 participates. The course offers attendees the opportunity to take part in classes for corrosion, pipeline integrity, and coatings with varying depths of information. THE UCSC is hosted and affliated with The Indiana Corrosion Society (ICS) which functions as a Technical Committee and constitutes a clearing-house for the exchange of engineering information on corrosion problems arising in the state of Indiana. The ICS helps clear cases where rectifiers are replaced, adjusted, or where a new one is installed. This function helps operators in the Indiana and surrounding areas avoid corrosion issues due to interference current.
