Kanoda Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. is a technology and innovation-driven renewable energy enterprise. Our mission is to power the transition to Energy 2.0. We aspire to make renewable energy the rule rather than the exception. With renewables entering the realm of economic viability, there are still several fundamental shifts required to realize their full potential. Today legacy systems dominate not only in terms of technology, but also within mind-sets. It is time we go back to the drawing board, and start implementing leapfrog strategies to outpace our mounting environmental concerns. Kanoda's vision is to mainstream renewables using agile technologies delivered by value-driven competencies. We see a paradigm shift. The proportion of solar and wind have to increase in our energy mix. Infirm renewable generation will have to be balanced with energy storage and demand response initiatives. Electric vehicles will demand accommodation in the electricity grid. Transportation will be smarter addressing congestion and last-mile connectivity issues. The grid will transform into clusters of smarter micro-grids to become more resilient. Consumers will be more aware and informed, and will participate in dynamic electricity markets. Electricity distribution will be more socialized, and existing business models of utilities will change. Policies and regulations will have to keep up. Kanoda was a modest start-up by a couple of research scholars at Georgia Tech, but with a generous dream. Today, Kanoda boasts of a workforce that has played an active role in establishing over 1,500 MW of solar capacities, trained over 1,500 professionals & technicians, and helped shape major renewable policies and initiatives throughout India.
