The Asian Cancer Institute is an internationally acknowledged Cancer Centre of repute and excellence based primarily in Mumbai for the past 19 years. Established by committed leading Cancer Specialists with decades of service at the Tata Memorial Centre, continued their mission of "Fight Cancer regardless" through the "Asian Cancer Institute Mumbai". This organisation has the experience, standing and presence of over 60 leading consultants today, including stalwarts like Padmabhushan ex TMC Director- Dr Praful Desai as Patron, Padmashri Dr R.K.Deshpande, Dr Deepak Parikh, Dr Sanjay Sharma, Dr Jagdeesh Kulkarni, Dr Hosi Bhatena, Dr D.N. Savant, Dr Rajendra Kerkar, Dr Tanveer Majeed, Dr Shravan Shetty, Dr Prriya Eshpuniyani Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr R Gopal; Dr Nilesh Lokeshwar; Dr Suhas Aagre, etc. in Surgical & Medical Oncology in various fields of Oncology apart from others who bring their rich experience and charitable disposition. The organisation started as an outpatient facility in June 2002 at the Wellspring Clinic of the Piramal Group Parel establishments. Later, it was shifted to S.L. Raheja Hospital at Mahim Mumbai on the Dasshera of 2002 with an inpatient facility, & was again moved to Sion in 2012. Right now, Asian Cancer Institute is present at the ACI-Cumballa Hill Hospital Kemps Corner Mumbai since 2020. A full-service associate center at Asian Cancer Institute at Apex Multispeciality Hospitals, Borivali East Mumbai, came up in early 2021 after having functioned as a daycare center at Borivali East Mumbai since 2015. Its presence has been known in eastern India earlier as a collaborative establishment from 2016-2019 at Odisha as -the "AMRI Hospital;- Asian Cancer Institute", catering to needy patients across all strata of society. The "ACI-Cumballa Hill Hospital" –an iconic Institute in South Mumbai is a tertiary care Hospital –Cardiac Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and other specialities with the added strength of Oncology.
