architectureRED is an award-winning architectural design and planning firm based out of Chennai. In the past 10+ years of our practice, we have been engaged with some critical design thinking for projects covering varied typologies like institutional, housing, commercial, mixed use mater-planning, large scale urban design as well as individual residences across India. We have also received significant and critical accolades and recognition from publications and professional bodies of repute for our works. Origins and Philosophy: Founded in 2008 by Architect and Urban Designer, Biju Kuriakose and Architect Kishore Panikkar, the architectureRED studio is currently involved in the design of a wide range of project typologies across various scales –from individual homes to master planning of mixed-use townships, from large-scale institutional buildings to residential developments. Driven by focused design goals and a clear process, architectureRED brings a strong design philosophy and attention to detail to all its projects. For us, each project is an opportunity to contribute to the betterment of the built environment of our cities, by creating meaningful, sustainable and appropriate architectural responses. Being part of a growing and emerging social and economic environment, we understand the opportunities and responsibilities design firms have, to make a positive impact on the urban fabric of our cities and suburbs, through design. Each project in the studio is an exploration towards achieving this goal, of a better built environment for the city, and contributes in its own way to this larger vision.
