United Company for Trade and Distribution UCTD is the sole agent and importer for several fortune pharmaceutical and FMCG companies in Egypt. Meanwhile, it is the exclusive and/or main distributor of fortune personal care products to the pharmacy market in Egypt. UCTD serves six classes of customers including chain pharmacies, individual pharmacies, wholesalers, hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenient stores. The company distribution network comprises of 7 regional satellites providing coverage to around 6000 pharmacies 2,890 doors of modern trade, supermarkets and convenient stores in addition to more than 1100 wholesalers. UCTD distributes more than 3,500 different products supplied by 43 vendors. The Company's strategy calls for focusing its distribution services to the largest 6000 pharmacies through very aggressive key account management for those pharmacies. Meanwhile, leaving the rest of pharmacies for UCP that provides 100% coverage of all operating pharmacies in Egypt (34,000 Pharmacy).
