District of Columbia International School inspires inquiring, engaged, knowledgeable and caring secondary students who are multi-lingual, culturally competent, and committed to proactively creating a socially just and sustainable world. DCI offers advanced Spanish, Chinese and French language instruction with a 1:1 student to Chromebook ratio. We are an International Baccalaureate Candidate School, offering the world-renowned IB Middle Years Program to DC public school students in the 6-8th grades. DCI opened September 2, 2014 serving the 6th and 7th grades. For the 2015-2016 school year, we have also added 8th grade. The school will grow to 12th grade by adding a grade per year, graduating its first seniors in 2020. At full size, DCI will be home to approximately 1,200 DC Public Charter School students.
