Stimpson Walton Bond (SWB) began in 1964 and continues under Adrian Ringrose who is a Chartered Architect, RIBA member, Architect Accredited in Conservation and Managing Director. The firm has a team of 8 people working on a diverse interesting range of projects. The broad portfolio of building types includes Historic, Religious, Community, Education, Healthcare, Sport, Residential, Housing, Hotel and special design projects. The firm also acts in the role as Principal Designer under the 2015 CDM Regulations. The value of the works undertaken varies from as little as a few hundred pounds of historic repair to larger multi £million projects including feasibility studies and master planning. Acting as Lead Consultant is a role that SWB have always undertaken particularly as 75%+ of the projects go from the feasibility stage to on site under SWB's direction as Architect and Contract Administrator. The Client base is primarily in Northamptonshire but projects have been successfully undertaken in Cambridgeshire, Leicester, London, Oxford, Birmingham, Peterborough, Mansfield and Derby. The firm also has considerable experience in preparing condition reports on listed buildings as well as, repairs, conservation, adaptation and extensions. Some more notable buildings include works to Delapre Abbey, Abington Museum, Rockingham Castle, Northampton Guildhall and others buildings many of which are Grade 1-2*. This scope also includes the care of over 100 churches in the Diocese of Peterborough, Oxford and St Albans. Two of Northampton's most significant landmarks, the Express Lift Tower in 1974 and the Guildhall extension in 1993 were designed by Stimpson Walton Bond.
