Huntingtower School

Huntingtower School (founded in 1927), situated in Mount Waverley, is a Christian values co-educational school of around 750 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Our motto is "Nosce te Ipsum" or "Know thy true self". Huntingtower is a school committed to building community and encouraging students to understand who they are while embracing their unlimited potential. Huntingtower aims is to provide a quality education based on spiritual and moral principles while encompassing a strong academic and co-curricular program. Its mission is to be a beneficial presence in the world and to uplift thought. Our core philosophy is to nurture independent and thoughtful individuals with strong values. Huntingtower's students are well-rounded and of strong character, thanks to our friendly and supportive environment, which allows young minds to grow and achieve their personal best. We provide a broad and dynamic curriculum, encouraging academic excellence while maintaining a strong pastoral care structure that ensures the academic and personal needs our students are met. As well as offering 26 VCE subjects, Huntingtower has an impressive range of co-curricular programs such as music, debating, drama, theatre, public speaking, sports, outdoor education and leadership development. Extensive facilities include our new Performing Arts Centre, multi-sport fitness centre and swimming pool, senior and junior gymnasiums, soccer field, football and cricket oval, tennis courts and brand-new Hockey Astroturf. Central to Huntingtower's ethos is a sense of community, along with academic and sporting achievement, we pride ourselves on our kind, loving and inclusive learning environment, all set in parklike grounds. Our daily motto is "to always be kind" and to see our students as having unlimited potential and to try to understand each individual student so providing a culture of excellent intellectual, spiritual and emotional education.
