• Established in June 1947, Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli (WCE) is one of the oldest Govt.Aided Engineering institute in the country. • We offers B.Tech (510) & M.Tech (215) in Mechanical, Civil, IT, Computer, Electronics & Electrical. • As per ‘Outlook' survey we are amongst the top 100 (Rank 52th) colleges in India. • WCE is always amongst the top five institutes in Maharashtra as far as student's choice for admission is concerned. • All degree programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). • The autonomous status, first awarded to the college in 2007, has now been extended till 2020-21. • A major curriculum revamp has been undertaken this year with the help of an international team. • All degree programs are autonomous and as a result, the curriculum is regularly updated. • WCE participated in the World Bank funded Government of India scheme ‘TEQIP' and was ranked No. 2 all-India out of 127 institutes in program impact assessment in 2010 • The institute has been again selected in the phase II & III of TEQIP, which is under implementation. • Our regular recruiters are Amazon, VERITAS, Symantec, Directi, Barclays, HSBC, Seagate, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, PSPL, TIBCO, NVIDIA, ThougtWorks,Eaton Corporation, Accenture Hindustan Unilever, Tata power, Tata Motors,Bajaj, Reliance Power, Siemens, L & T(ECC), L&T, HCC, TCE, Mahindra Group, Kirloskar Group, Reliance energy, Jindal, Endurance etc.
