The Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute (BTVI) is the primary educational organization which provides technical vocational education and training (TVET) in The Bahamas. BTVI offers certificate and diploma courses, in addition to Associate of Applied Science degrees at campuses in New Providence and Grand Bahama, and at a centre in Andros. Programs range from Media Technology, Electrical Installation, Information Technology and Electronics Engineering to Fashion Design, Cosmetology, Human Resources Management and Auto Mechanics, among others – some of which include international certifications. The institution also offers job-ready, professionally certified nano degree courses, National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certifications, in addition to Professional Development Courses (PDCs) and specialized training for organizations, which are a part of its continuing education training.
