Every South Sanpete School District student is entitled to be educated in a supportive learning environment by skilled teachers who take advantage of available research findings in education, provide appropriate and productive learning experiences, promote academic excellence, and encourage the development of ethical character and physical well-being. Further, each student shall be provided opportunities to gain the skills necessary to function in a democratic society, to make appropriate decisions, and prepare to meet the challenges of a changing world, higher education, and the world of work. These skills and others listed in Utah Code 53A-1a-104 and 106 are desired characteristics of the schools in South Sanpete School District.
