We believe every American has a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The mission of the Institute for Racial Equity & Excellence is to create inclusive environments and to ensure equity and social justice at all levels of society. We aim to change the hearts and practices of the workforce to enhance child, family, and community outcomes, especially of those working with communities of color and other marginalized groups. IREE's Goals: To partner with agencies and organizations to enhance awareness of biases and take action to prevent, reduce, and eliminate inequitable practices. To support children, families, and communities by addressing inequities that result from implicit and explicit biases. To identify and eliminate practices and policies that privilege ‘some' at the expense of ‘others'. To dismantle the preschool to prison pipeline.
