The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is a nationally recognized park system encompassing more than 24,000 acres of land, 420 parks, 325 miles of trails, 500 full-time employees, 2,500 seasonal employees and thousands of volunteers. Our mission is to enrich quality of life for all members of the community through an enduring park system that provides a healthy environment, preserves natural and cultural heritage, offers inspiring recreational experiences and promotes healthy lifestyles.
