Scan Geofísica is an oil field service company established in Caracas in 2006 to serve the needs of oil companies working in Venezuela. 100% Venezuelan local company. The company was involved in 90% of the marine seismic surveys in Venezuela since its creation, totaling 8000km2 3D and 4200km 2D. The most recent survey was acquired for PDVSA Cuba in 2013. (1650km2 3D). Has a onshore processing contract with PDVSA since 2012. Provides services to the Ministery of Oil's National Data Repository (Banco Nacional de Datos) in coordination with PDVSA: Transcription of 150.000 magnetic tapes originating from 1968 to 2013 in various formats. Physical storage of tapes. Procured, installed and configured a data center to the NDR's premises. Provides PDVSA and the NDR with advice on the QC process for the new incoming seismic data from every provider.
