Weftberry is the fruit of our firm conviction of the splendour of Indian handloom. At Weftberry, we believe that Indian handloom can regain its lost glory and can become a pillar of support to the Indian economy. As we all know, Indian handloom is the synthesis of traditional weaving techniques and modern designs, adopted by the craftsmen and artisans of India. They have been carrying forward the rich legacy of five thousand years of heritage, propagated through generations of weavers who have been practicing this art. There are about 5 million recorded weavers in the Indian handloom industry, of which more than 95% are terminal weavers. However, the market is highly fragmented and unorganized. This makes the ecosystem complex and challenging to manufacture or procure the right kind of textile at the right price. We bring to the table an end-to-end expertise across the entire handloom value chain, thereby offering a simplified interface between our clients and Indian Handloom.
