The Dallas Tennis Association (DTA) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization serving Dallas' diverse tennis community through a variety of programming. The DTA is part of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and home to USTA adult leagues, tournaments, junior team tennis, junior recreation, and competitive programs in the greater Dallas metropolitan area. The junior recreation programs, better known as Dallas Tennis & Education Academy (DTEA), is the benevolent arm of the DTA. DTEA is part of the USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning Network (NJTL) and Academic Creative Engagement (ACE) initiative. DTEA reaches underserved, at-risk children of all ages and abilities each year. Providing 50 weeks of FREE/low-cost programming and 40,000 hours of professional teaching, the DTEA is committed to providing program participants with a safe, fun learning environment. The DTA and DTEA believe that tennis promotes the physical, emotional, and mental development of children while teaching discipline and self-reliance. DTA/DTEA philosophy: Tennis is the hook. Education is the goal.
