Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology, UCL

The Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology (LMCB) is a division of the Faculty of Life Sciences and is located in the heart of the Bloomsbury Campus of UCL. Research staff and students work together to understand the fundamental principles of cell and tissue biology relevant to human disease, through interdisciplinary, discovery-based research and technology development. We are funded by Cancer Research UK, Wellcome, MRC, ERC, BBSRC and UCL, amongst others. Our research themes include tissue biology, cell organisation and dynamics, physical biology of the cell, cell growth and division, cell decision making. Our research is supported by five advanced technical platforms including electron microscopy, light microscopy, super resolution imaging, high throughput/high content screening and bioinformatics.
