GDF SUEZ is now ENGIE. ENGIE is one of the leading LNG players in the world, present in the whole LNG value chain, from liquefaction to regasification as well as marketing and shipping. The Group enjoys a long experience in LNG and has been a driving force in this industry from the development of the first LNG chain between Algeria and France, 50 years ago, to the latest technical innovations (Shuttle and Regasification Vessels, Floating and Storage Regasification Units…). Fully integrated within ENGIE with about 180 employees located in different countries (France, UK, Luxembourg, Cameroon, USA and Singapore), the LNG Business Unit is responsible for: - developing and diversifying the LNG supply portfolio (LNG production and purchase contracts with producers) of ENGIE. - supplying ENGIE's various entities and customers with LNG, through the management of supply and vessel chartering contracts. - creating additional value through the development of new projects and businesses as well as physical and financial optimization of the portfolio of LNG purchase and sale contracts and the LNG carrier fleet. A key driver in the LNG activities of ENGIE, the LNG BU is developing its presence in LNG infrastructures (liquefaction and regasification projects) globally; at the same time, it is developing new downstream markets, such as Retail LNG.
